UPCOMING VENTURING
EVENTS
The
Council is sponsoring two Venturing Snow weekends the first and third weekends
in February at Aubrey Watzek Lodge (as we have in previous years).
The first weekend is the Council Venturing Snow Weekend (Co-ed) on Friday
February 2nd through Sunday February 5th (two nights) at Aubrey Watzek Lodge.
This is a Co-ed Venturing event. Have fun tubing, cross country skiing, snow
shoeing, or skiing at one of the nearby ski slopes. Your crew is responsible for
your meals while you are there. The Council will provide a cracker barrel Friday
night and Saturday night. This event is only for Venturing age youth (14 or
over). There is a limit of 20 participants (including adults) per crew. The cost
is $20 per person for the two nights. Additional activities for this weekend are
being planned and will be announced when the planning is complete.
The second weekend is the LDS Venturing Snow Weekend on Friday February 17th and
Saturday February 18th (one night) at Aubrey Watzek lodge. This is for LDS crews
and is not a Co-ed event. Have fun tubing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing,
or skiing at one of the nearby ski slopes. The council will provide a cracker
barrel Friday night and breakfast on Saturday. Your crew is responsible for all
other meals while you are there. The cost is $17 per person. Additional
activities for this weekend are being planned and will be announced when the
planning is complete.

Also available to Venturing crews are two nights at Nanitch Lodge. These are
co-ed nights. The first date is March 2 and the second is March 3. These are one
night events (unless you register for both nights). The lodge holds 70. The cost
is $14 per night per person. If you were involved in the woodcuts/lodge service
dates the cost drops to $10 per night. If your crew is interested in attending,

Our
5th Adventure Trek (held every
other year) will be held July 30 through August 4 of 2012. Attached is the Flier
for 2012. On-line registration is scheduled to start September 28th.

Registration is by team (youth 4, 5 or 6). The cost is $225 per youth and $125
per adult. There is a $350 deposit required to register. We hope to see you
there.
